The Tema Regional Police Command has gunned down three armed robbers during a gunfight at the Tema Industrial Area.
In a statement, the police said the incident ensued after officers responded to a distress call at a warehouse on Monday, July 21, 2025.
Upon arrival, the police confronted about ten armed men who were attempting to break into the said warehouse.
The situation, however, turned bloody when the suspected robbers exchanged fire with the patrol team.
“Three of the suspects were shot in the process and have been pronounced dead,” the police statement said.
It added that the other suspects, some of whom may have sustained injuries, fled the scene.
The officers recovered a Bruni mod foreign pistol, a double-barreled locally manufactured pistol with ammunition and 11 live BB ammunition from the scene.
Meanwhile, the authorities have initiated a manhunt for the remaining suspects after transferring the bodies of the deceased to the Police Hospital Morgue.
