Fuel prices to adjust slightly from today

Fuel prices at the pump are expected to see slight changes, with petrol set to increase marginally, while diesel and Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) prices are projected to decline starting today August 1, 2025.
This projection comes from the latest pricing outlook issued by the Chamber of Oil Marketing Companies (COMAC), which guides pricing decisions for Oil Marketing Companies (OMCs) across the country.
According to the report, the price of petrol is expected to rise by 0.47 percent, bringing it to approximately GH¢2.80 per litre.
In contrast, the prices of diesel and LPG are forecast to drop by up to 0.29 percent per litre.
However, some OMCs have indicated that they may maintain current prices for certain products, depending on their internal strategies and operational costs.
The mixed pricing forecast has been attributed to relatively stable crude oil prices on the international market and the steady performance of the Ghana cedi.
The report notes that global crude oil prices declined slightly by 0.28 percent, settling at around US$70.62 per barrel.
While the international price of petrol rose by 0.43 percent, diesel prices fell by 1.22 percent, and LPG saw the sharpest decline at 1.80 percent.
These developments in the global market, combined with domestic currency stability, are expected to shape the next round of adjustments at local fuel pumps.
